Chapel Hill Fire Station 5 was designed with innovation and energy efficiency as primary design keys. The building is constructed of P.A.A.C. block walls, providing maximum thermal mass and insulating properties. Kalwall panels provide daylight to minimize electrical use and the project includes on-site bioretention facilities.
